Blaz CBD Cigarettes Review: Tried and Tested Against 11 Other Brands

⚡ Featured product

I tested Blāz Cigarettes against 11 other tobacco-free brands. I researched all 12 companies, looked at lab reports, cut them open to look inside, had them independently tested for potency, poked, prodded, and squeezed, and finally… smoked them.

Below you’ll find my full review of Blaz cigarettes, concluding that this brand is one of my top recommendations for best hemp cigarette brands for 2022.

  • Pleasure to smoke
  • Pulls through very similar to a tobacco cigarette
  • Mild but noticeable effects

Blāz – premium hemp smokes

I first heard about Blāz hemp cigarettes on Reddit, where they seem to have quite a large fan following. When I looked into them further I found that Blāz specializes in producing hemp/CBD cigarettes and sells them in various stores around the US, but if you want the best prices then you should buy direct from them online.

Blāz Cigarettes Quality Test & Review

I tested their natural flavor for our “best CBD cigarettes” feature, but they’re also available in menthol or you can opt for a slightly more pricey Reserves option. Blāz CBD Cigarettes Reserves utilize greenhouse grown smokable hemp flower rolled with ultra-thin rolling papers, combined with a biodegradable filter, for a more luxury and environmentally-conscious smoke.

These Blāz tobacco free cigarettes come in packs of ten, reasonably priced at just $6 per pack. The company makes their lab reports very easy to find online, verifying their potency at approx 50mg of CBD per smoke. They contain nothing but hemp goodness, meaning you can experience smoking without any addictive nicotine in any of their cigarettes.

Unfortunately, Blāz do not have their cigarettes tested for purity and safety at this time, so there’s no way to tell if the hemp contains harmful contaminants.

UPDATE: I’ve just noticed that Blāz have also got 20 packs available in their line-up for just $9, as well as some major discounts for buying cartons (10 x 20 packs for just $56), making them a super affordable option.

First impressions

Blāz CBD cigarettes are delivered in a standard, sturdy cardboard cigarette box (top opening), with colorful cigarette filters. I like the fact that they come in ten packs, as there’s not really any way to keep them properly sealed in order to retain freshness once the plastic wrapper has been ripped open.

I only smoke one or two a day, so it’s nice to be able to open just ten at a time.

To me, these cigarettes pull through really nicely, at a fairly slow, smooth rate that isn’t harsh on the throat at all. Blāz hemp cigarettes are probably the most similar to smoking a traditional tobacco cigarette that I’ve come across, so I think they would be great for people that want to give up smoking tobacco.

Are Blāz cigarettes safe? smoking hemp is safer than smoking traditional tobacco cigarettes and you won’t get high from smoking one, but it does make me feel uneasy that they haven’t been tested for purity or safety.

However, they are still a great alternative to cigarettes and I am going to finish the packs they sent me as I really like them. Generally-speaking, I would be cautious about smoking them with any sort of regularity, but from time to time and as an emergency crutch they’re ideal.

Effects were fairly subtle, but I definitely felt more relaxed after smoking a whole one.

What’s really inside?

What’s really inside? There’s only one way to find out so I grabbed a boxcutter and sliced open a Blāz to take a look. To be honest, what I found inside didn’t look like pure hemp flower, but more like trim (shake and leaves). However, when I looked at the contents alongside the other 11 brands I was testing, this was far from the worst.

I ranked Blaz at 7th place, which was around average, in this part of the testing process, beating another five brands on looks alone.

I also sent a few CBD cigarettes from Blāz off to ACS Labs to have some of my own potency testing done. They excelled in this test as their lab reports were spot on. We had them testing at 52mg of CBD per cigarette, which is within 2% of what is advertised.

Final Word

I highly recommend Blaz CBD Cigarettes to people who are looking for a great tasting, smooth hemp smoke on a budget. I just hope they offer more comprehensive lab testing in the future to verify the purity of the hemp they use.
