Am I the only person who really enjoys reading the About Us section of a company’s website?
I’m not sure if that’s just further evidence of my CBD geekdom or if that’s normal. Either way, when I started writing this Smilyn Wellness review and read their About Us page, I was certainly given a lot to smile about.
This brand views CBD as a lifestyle that promotes happiness and the co-founder, Brett Weiss, believes that everyone deserves access to affordable, high-quality CBD products that leave you smilyn(!). I couldn’t agree more and am loving the fun, pun-filled vibe of this brand already…
Stick with me as I tell you what happened when I tried their products for the first time.
Smilyn Wellness review summary
The first thing you’ll notice about Smilyn Wellness is that they have an unbeatable range of products. I was lucky enough to try a good mix of Smilyn Wellness products, which allowed me to test the effectiveness of a range of different product types and cannabinoids. My Smilyn hemp reviews below are as frank and honest as possible, to help you make an educated decision when it comes to deciding if they’re right for you.
I’ll kick off with my Smilyn CBD review, before sharing what I thought about their Smilyn Delta 8, Smilyn THC-O, as well as their CBN for sleep.
Smilyn Wellness CBD tincture
If you’re not a fan of that strong hempy taste that many CBD oils have, then you’re going to love the fact that Smilyn Wellness have some of the best flavored tinctures available on the market. Where other brands may offer one flavor alongside the natural flavor, Smilyn CBD tinctures come in orange (which is divine!), lemon, grape, blueberry, mint, and cinnamon.
Plus, their Calm tincture is peppermint & spearmint and their Sleep tincture is cinnamon and vanilla, so you really are spoiled for choice when it comes to flavor options.
With 33 mg of CBD per dropper-full, the orange CBD oil is bang on the money when it comes to effectiveness, taste, and dosage.

Smilyn Delta 8 review
This brand was pretty quick to respond to customer demand and the popularity of Delta 8 has led to an enormous Delta 8 line of products. Smilyn’s Delta 8 range includes tinctures, capsules, edibles (Delta 8 chocolate and gummies), drinks (cocktails and shots), smokables (pre-rolls, cigarettes, concentrates, and moon rocks), and vapes (carts, disposables, and pods). Wow!
A 2ml Smilyn Delta 8 cartridge will set you back around $45 and the brand uses natural terpenes to create their own uplifting Delta 8 sativa blends, as well as indica and hybrid blends. However, I personally liked their Delta 8 Hemp Smokes the best, which are just like cigarettes except they contain hemp and Delta 8 instead of tobacco.
The filter means that they smoke really smoothly and I got the giggles so bad (good-bad) after smoking just one of these. It was only the next day I realized that just one cigarette contains 80mg of Delta 8, so no wonder I was as high as a kite! I’ve been taking around 25mg at a time, but these cigarettes have me thinking that I should up my dose!
The fact that the doses of Delta 8 are higher than many other companies out there also make them a more obvious choice for medicinal users that need that potency to help alleviate more severe symptoms.
At first, the $30 price-tag might look a bit steep, but if you break it down, that’s just $3.75 per smoke. And in my opinion, $3.75 is very cheap for a great smoke and an entire evening’s entertainment!
Smilyn THC-O review
When it comes to THC-O, Smilyn has a number of different products you can choose from, including vaping products, gummies, chocolate, gel caps, and concentrates. If you’re a vaping enthusiast then you’ll find pretty much everything you could hope for. Choose your Smilyn THC-O disposable in sativa or indica format, in 1ml or 2ml volumes, on its own or mixed with other cannabinoids. Plus, they also have live resin options.
The THC-P cannabinoid is a little newer to the scene so, understandably, Smilyn THC-P products are more limited, with just vape carts, disposable pens, and pods.
My favorite THC-O product was their gummies that contained both THC-O and Delta 9 (15mg of THC-O and 10mg of Delta 9). The experience was a relaxing blend of floaty and philosophical vibes that could be enjoyed on your own or with others.
Note: If you prefer straight THC-O, then Smilyn Wellness does also have pure THC-O gummies, as well as pure Delta 9 THC gummies, but I was intrigued by this mix and wasn’t surprised to find out how much I enjoyed these.
Smilyn Wellness Knockout gummies review

I’ve read a number of Smilyn Wellness reviews, but no-one has mentioned these Knockout Gummies yet. Smilyn only released them a few weeks ago, so I believe I might actually be the first to review them.
I know people who will buy a pack of Delta 8 gummies and need to take 4 or 5 of them in order to feel the effects, but if those people just bought these Knockout Blend gummies from Smilyn, they’d save themselves a small fortune!
Smilyn’s Knockout gummies contain a total of 125mg of Delta 9, THC-H, THC-JD, THC-P, and live resin Delta 8, making them hard hitters for even those with the highest tolerance to THC. The absolute craziest thing about these gummies though isn’t the mega potency, it’s the price! At $45 for 20 gummies ($2.25 per piece), they’re not that much more than your average pack of D8 gummies with just 25mg in each piece!
So, if you have a high tolerance, enjoy getting super-duper high, or have severe symptoms you need to address, these gummies may be ideal for you.
I have already put an order in for some of these Knockout gummies, so I’ll let you know what I think after I’ve tried them.
CBN for Sleep Gel Caps review
I was a bit worried when I opened these capsules as when they arrived the bottle didn’t rattle like I expected it to, so I thought that the capsules had all stuck together, which they had! But it wasn’t a problem as they came apart easily and the integrity of the gel hadn’t suffered at all – phew!
I was looking forward to reviewing these capsules because they’re a little different from other sleep products on the market. Instead of the usual CBD and CBN combo, these capsules rely more heavily on the CBN cannabinoid, as well as a ton of other ingredients that are known to support more quality sleep, including reishi mushroom extract and ashwagandha.
I’m not sure what “broad spectrum CBN” is either. Does that mean that there are other cannabinoids in there too, but it’s just mostly CBN? I tried to find out by looking at the lab results, but it appears that this particular lab result is missing. When I clicked on the link it took me through to a page for the Delta 8 capsules.
I’ve emailed the brand to let them know and will update when I have answers!
In the meantime, I thought I’d try them out to see how well they worked because getting a good night’s sleep is what I struggle with most and I’m always keen to find another good cannabinoid product that helps me sleep better!
It’s safe to say that I really really like them.
After a couple of nights of taking the CBN capsules on their own, and already sleeping more soundly, I then decided to see what would happen if I combined it with a dose of CBD. And wow… One dropper-full of Smilyn’s Orange CBD oil and one CBN capsule worked wonders! I fell asleep quickly, I stayed asleep ALL night, and slept well! Plus, I felt so rested in the morning.
Unfortunately, it didn’t work quite as well the next few nights, as I did wake up a few times, but it was still a marked improvement on my usual sleep routine!
Smilyn Wellness brand review
As well as trying out Smilyn Wellness products, I also did a bit of research into the company in order to find out a bit more about them, including what they’re doing well and what could be improved on.
Superb range of products
You’ll find all the usual CBD suspects on the Smilyn Wellness website such as gummies, tinctures, soft gels, topicals, pet products, vape carts and disposables. But you’ll also find some less common CBD treats including CBD patches, face masks, Delta 8 chocolate, live resin diamonds, and vape pods.
And check out the range of cannabinoids they sell, including CBD, Delta 8, Delta 9, Delta 10, THC-O, THC-P, and HHC.
Plus (yes, there’s more), they also stock other brands that they like, so you can also buy highly sought-after Hellfire Delta 8 and Delta 10 products, as well as products from Carte Blanche, Odisea, and Smoke River.
Products are potent and effective
In the case of their CBD tinctures you’re offered a variety of different potency levels, but most of their products have just one strength available and, let me put it this way, Smilyn isn’t shy when it comes to dosing.
These kinds of dosages sit exactly within my ideal dosing zone. I often have to double up on servings from other brands, but I don’t need to do that with Smilyn Wellness. This may make their products slightly more suitable for more experienced CBD users, like myself, but it also ensures that their products are highly effective and last as long as they should (rather than half the time from having to double dose).
For example, although I didn’t get a chance to write a Smilyn Delta 8 gummies review, if their other gummies are anything to go by, then I’m confident they pack a mighty punch. With 50mg of Delta 8 THC in each gummy, they contain double what most other brands sell.
Smilyn Delta 9 gummies are a little more modest with 10mg of D9 and 10mg of CBD, making them a great option if you’re looking for pain relief. Or you also have the choice of 10mg of D9 with 15mg of THC-O (these gummies are in my reviews).
Smilyn Wellness also has some extremely potent products for even more experienced customers, especially in the legal highs market. Check out their Knockout Blend gummies for starters (also in my reviews above).
High quality and thoughtful ingredient selection
You can tell that a lot of time has been spent on ingredient sourcing at Smilyn Wellness, as the ingredients are high quality and thoughtfully put together. The hemp, for example, is cultivated, extracted, and lab tested in California, which is also where the brand is headquartered, to ensure quality and consistency between the different product types and batches.
The CBD tincture they sent me contains their phytocannabinoid-rich CBD oil, mixed with hemp seed oil, grapeseed oil, MCT oil, organic sweet orange, and stevia. Literally every single ingredient (okay, maybe not the stevia) offers a host of great benefits.
Their CBN for Sleep gel caps also contain adaptogens ashwagandha and reishi to help you relax, as well as a whole host of therapeutic terpenes (12 in total).
Impressive flavor options
Smilyn Wellness offers no less than eight different flavor options for their CBD oils. So, if you don’t like that strong natural hemp flavor, then don’t put up with it anymore! Head over to Smilyn’s website and take your pick between a range of delicious fruit flavors, as well as mint, cinnamon, and vanilla.
And their gummies too! Just limiting my search purely to Smilyn Delta 8 gummies, you still have to choose between strawberry and banana, dragon fruit coconut, and watermelon. Hellfire’s Delta 8 gummies add even more choice with passionfruit mango, birthday cake, and very berry, and Smilyn’s Knockout gummies come in strawberry and cream, guava lemonade, and kiwi starfruit.
Talk about being spoiled for choice. This means you can have a different flavor every month of the year if you wanted!
Third-party lab results available for all products
Third party lab reports, or certificates of analysis (COA’s), are all uploaded to the website for you to view at any time. It would be more convenient to have each one linked directly from the product page, rather than have to look through the list to find the COA that you want, but that’s just me nit-picking. Their COA’s are made available for everyone to see and that’s the main thing.
As far as I can tell, they provide third-party lab reports for every product they sell, but many of them verify the product’s potency only. Only some of the products have been tested for potentially harmful contaminants, such as pesticides, microbials, mycotoxins, residual solvents, and heavy metals. Hopefully we see a lot more of this in the future!
EDIT: The brand has confirmed that they are working towards this which is great news.
Good returns policy (30 days)
Like all reputable brands, Smilyn Wellness also offers their customers the opportunity to return products within 30 days. They won’t refund the shipping, which is fair, but to be honest it’s doubtful you will be paying for shipping anyway since it’s free when you spend over $20.

Smilyn also has a great (and speedy) customer service team. They make it very easy to contact them by phone or email, just in case you have any questions, feedback, and/or concerns.
