Dimo Hemp Delta-8 THC Product Review by Leah Johnson at CBD Origin
Over the past few months, we’ve done a lot of reviews on CBD and Delta-8 THC products from a number of companies and brands. Many times we’ve reviewed two or three of their products and recommended a few products that look intriguing on their site. Today, however, we have an exciting treat for you from a company called Dimo Hemp. This particular product believes so strongly in their products that they sent us their entire catalog of products. In this article, we’ll be going over their edibles, cartridges, disposables, and pre-rolls. Delta-8 THC is quickly growing in popularity as the middle ground of CBD and weed, offering a “lite” version of weed that is both legal and powerful, allowing the user to get high while remaining clear-headed and in control. Let’s check out some of these exciting products and explore the different methods of consumption for this popular cannabinoid.
DIMO HEMP DELTA-8 THC
Dimo Hemp has one of the finest website setups that I’ve ever come across. The use of colorful graphics and playful fonts instantly sets you at ease, and piques your curiosity to explore the site further. The site contains tabs for a product catalog, explanation of what Delta-8 THC actually is, FAQ’s, wholesale, and contact information. The entire site is professionally designed and easy to navigate, all while containing a wealth of information that could easily take hours to browse through. The product catalog is broken down into four sections: edibles, cartridges, disposables, and pre-rolls.
The edibles come in several different familiar shapes and flavors, featuring sour gummy worms, sour peach rings, and sour belts (strawberry, blue raspberry, and green apple), and are sold for $24.99 in a 10 serving pouch, with each gummy containing 25mg of Delta-8 THC each. The cartridges come in three different flavors (indica OG Kush, hybrid Gelato, and sativa Mimosa) for $34.99 each. The cartridges require an external pen device to fire properly. I recently reviewed a fantastic and inexpensive pen style device called the Pilot Battery by Vuber Vaporizer, which works wonderfully with these cartridges. Next we have the hassle-free disposable devices that come in the same flavors as the cartridges: indica OG Kush, hybrid Gelato, and sativa Mimosa. The rechargeable devices never need to be refilled, and should be responsibly recycled once the chamber is empty. The disposables go for $44.99 and are a great way to use on the go. Lastly, we have a truly unique product that has the market in a frenzy to try: pre-rolls. While many companies offer Delta-8 THC flower that can be ground up and smoked like a traditional blunt, pre-rolls are usually reserved for CBD products. Dimo Hemp decided to take that one step further and create pre-rolls of Delta-8 THC, making it even easier for you to get your fix in a familiar hand-held form. The package of pre-rolls comes in a pack of seven and is sold for $29.99 in the same three flavors as the cartridges and disposables.
The site displays a pop-up window that offers a 10% off discount for first-time customers when you sign up for their mailing list, and a clickable tab on the right side of the site that allows you to spin a wheel to win an even higher discount amount. Aside from that, there aren’t any discount rates for repeat purchases or multiple quantities, but the products are so affordably priced that you’ll feel like you’re saving regardless when you buy from the site. Now that we’ve briefly run through the company site, various products, and pricing for each product, let’s get into the meat of this article: the product reviews!
Delta-8 THC Gummies Product Review
I’m a sucker for anything sweet and chewy, so edibles have always been my Delta-8 THC product of choice. I was delighted with the wide range of gummies from Dimo Hemp and loved how they imitated popular sweets: peach rings, sour gummy worms, and sour belts. The peach rings had a delightfully soft and chewy texture, and the flavor was exactly as expected: sweet peach with a touch of sour. The sour gummy worms could have fooled me for the real thing, as they were soft and chewy and sweet, mingled with a faint flavor of sour towards the end. The blue raspberry belts had a deliciously sweet blue raspberry flavor with a gentle kiss of sour at the end. The strawberry belts had an authentic flavor of strawberry with an almost imperceptible taste of sour at the end. The green apple belts had a sharp apple flavor blended perfectly with sour sugar, probably the most sour of all the belts.
The peach rings and the worms were definitely the softest with the least amount of sour flavor, which I actually preferred. The peach rings were very sticky so be prepared to pull them apart once you open the pouch. They tasted and even smelled like the cornerstore sweet, and I was sorely tempted to devour the entire pack due to the fantastic flavor. The belts were the most amusing to eat, as each one was 12” in length (yes I measured!) and were very messy due to the sour sugar crystals that coated my fingers. All of these Delta-8 THC sweets made me think of the actual candy in terms of flavor, appearance, and texture. With all of the gummies, there was a slight undertone of hemp and a filmy coating that remained on the teeth and tongue after swallowing. I took a quick swig of water to rinse my mouth and lessen the coating, but you can always brush your teeth if the coating gets to be uncomfortable. Keep in mind that some of the chewed gummy pieces may get stuck in your teeth, so this might be a good idea regardless.
Each of the Delta-8 THC gummies took about an hour and a half to kick in, and left me feeling relaxed and euphoric. I noticed my eyes were drooping and felt weighted. It became increasingly difficult to keep my eyes open wide, but there was very little redness when I checked them in a mirror. I had a heightened sense of touch, and noticed that my fingers and toes were tingling.I felt comfortably warm and noticed a light pressure on my sinuses, which is my body’s telltale sign that the high is in effect. I thoroughly enjoyed the high for several hours before going to sleep, and I awoke feeling refreshed and ready to start my day. I was very pleased that there wasn’t any lingering high and I was able to get ready to start the day with no disorientation or sleepiness. If you have a craving for something sweet and don’t want a strong flavor of hemp, you’ll undoubtedly fall in love with these Delta-8 THC gummies. I know I did! If you’re looking for something to smoke and prefer a fast-acting high, Dimo Hemp has a huge selection of pre-rolls, cartridges, and disposables. Let’s review the hemp pre-rolls now!
Delta-8 THC Pre-Rolls Product Review
Dimo Hemp has cornered a very small section of the Delta-8 THC market and has found huge success with their pre-rolls. There are seven pre-rolls per package and are available in all the popular strains. Their indica strain is called OG Kush, their sativa flavor is named Mimosa, and their hybrid is dubbed Gelato. While the sativa and hybrid names might evoke expectations of the food and drink, I didn’t notice a huge difference in any of the flavors. The Pre-Rolls are professionally rolled with Raw brand rolling paper and are shaped to look like a fat blunt. The pre-rolls have dustings of hemp coating the bottom half. The pre-rolls were easy to light, and I tasted a strong flavor of tobacco and hemp flower. It reminded me of smoking a cigarette (but not like a cigar), and gave off a rich ashy odor as I smoked it. I didn’t need to smoke the entire thing, but I did have to keep relighting the pre-roll as I smoked it. It took about 15 minutes to smoke the whole thing, which probably would have been faster if I didn’t have to keep stopping to relight it.
Despite their small size, these pre-rolls gave me a VERY heavy high that took about five minutes to fully kick in. The high was long lasting, and I was delighted to feel a heady euphoric high that allowed me to remain clear-headed. I noticed that the indica made me feel sleepy and made my eyes droopy, while the sativa made me focused and helped motivate me to finish a particular task. The indica was a delightful blend of the two, keeping me focused yet relaxed at the same time. If you’re a fan of smoking actual marijuana but prefer a more clear-headed high, I’m confident you’ll love these pre-rolls and will want to reorder them again and again. For those who aren’t fond of smoking and holding something while it burns, let’s go over Dimo Hemp’s disposables and cartridges now!
Delta-8 THC Disposables & Cartridges Product Review
Disposables are making quite an appearance in the Delta-8 THC market, and are great for Delta-8 THC users who are constantly on the go. In the vaping world, disposables usually have an approximate puff count that allows the user to get an idea of how long the device will last. However, Delta-8 THC works a bit differently: it’s up to the user to decide how hard of a hit to take or how long that drag lasts. Because of this, there’s no approximate puff count, but these disposables and cartridges lasted me for quite a while even with daily use, so don’t be afraid to use these frequently as you need it.
Both the cartridges and disposables come in Dimo Hemp’s signature bright orange. The disposables are completely orange with Dimo Hemp’s logo on the bottom half of the device, and have a small window on both sides that allows you to see how much of the oil remains. Each device comes with 1 gram and features over 900mg of Delta-8 THC in each cartridge. The cartridges have an orange banner with Dimo Hemp’s rocket logo and an orange tip on top of the clear cartridge. The oil in both devices is extremely thick and viscous, which makes it impossible to slosh around in the compartments. The one thing I didn’t like about the design of either was that there were no flavor markings on the actual devices. Instead of the logo and stamped brand name, I would have much preferred the actual name listed. Since I had all six of these devices, it was impossible to tell which one was which. I resorted to keeping the devices in their boxes, as that had all the flavors and information listed. I also wrote the name of the disposable flavors in black Sharpie, which did get smudged over time but was much easier to distinguish which one I currently had.
Just like with the pre-rolls, there are three different strains available for the cartridges and disposables: OG Kush (indica), Mimosa (sativa), and Gelato (hybrid). But that’s where the game gets interesting: unlike the pre-rolls, these actually have subtly different tastes and flavors. The taste is nothing like the mimosa drink or the gelato dessert, so don’t dive in thinking you’ll get a sugary sweet flavor. The hemp flavor is sharp and more pronounced than the gummies or pre-rolls, and the resulting vapor is more pungent. There is a familiar flavor of hemp that isn’t overpowering or unbearable, but you should use these with the expectation of some plant-like flavor.
I had to be careful with these Dimo Hemp products when I took my hits, as too deep of a draw resulted in fits of coughing and a tightness in my chest. It took several attempts to get the inhale right, but I found greater success when my hits were more like a mouth hit than a traditional vaper’s lung hit. Once I had the technique mastered, two hits took about seven minutes to really kick in. The effects left me relaxed and euphoric. The heady high was the same as the pre-rolls, strong and powerful but soothing and clear-headed. The high lasted about 30 minutes, but I’d take another puff before that time ran out to keep my high going. I highly recommend these to anyone accustomed to vaping/smoking who wants a flavorful yet discreet puff of Delta-8 THC vapor that is both fast acting and flavorful.
Dimo Hemp General Information
Lab Testing
Lately I’ve been noticing that many companies no longer list their lab testing results on their website. Rather, it is stamped on the actual product packaging. This means you’ll have to buy the actual product before you know what’s in it. Dimo Hemp also takes this route, but provides a plethora of information on their website on what to look for with testing, what their products contain, and tons of information for novice and experienced users alike. I checked all of the product packaging (which we’ll go over shortly) and noted that a scannable QR code was only available on the Delta-8 THC gummies. The pre-rolls, cartridges, and disposables were lacking a QR code anywhere on the packaging. Oddly enough, the QR code on the gummy displayed COA results for all four types of products in a LinkTree link that redirected you to a DropBox folder. I’m not quite sure the reasoning behind that, but in case you’re wanting to see exactly what’s inside these incredible Delta-8 THC products, you’ll need to get your hands on an actual gummy pouch. That being said, it’s very impressive that Dimo Hemp does test all of their products in independent third-party labs. This type of testing is time-consuming and costly, so it’s nice to see that Dimo Hemp cares enough to do these intense tests for their customers.
Hemp Information
Dimo Hemp utilizes molecular isolation (aka isomerization) to create large quantities of their Delta-8 THC. This process uses acid and heat to create the Delta-8 THC used in their products, using hemp sourced from legal hemp farms within the United States. Keep in mind that the cannabis plant contains many different cannabinoids, most notably hemp and marijuana. Delta-8 THC is considered the middle ground (the “lite” version of weed) of the two cannabinoids and offers the user a more clear-headed yet powerful high. As per the 2018 Farm Bill, all of Dimo Hemp’s products contain less than 0.3% THC and are legal for sale across the country. However, there are some states that outright ban Delta-8 THC and others that have restricted sales, so you’ll need to check with your state’s laws before purchasing and having any of Dimo Hemp’s products shipped to you. Let’s go over the packaging for each of these products and wrap up this exciting review!
Product Packaging – Gummies
The packaging for the gummies was stunning, thanks to the use of playful fonts, vibrant colors, and cartoonish design. Dimo Hemp’s logo was proudly displayed on the upper left-hand corner of the pouches, and each pouch had a tearable strip that allowed for seamless re-sealing. My only complaint would be that the foil lining often separated from the ZipLoc-style seal and made it somewhat difficult to open the pouch. A very minor inconvenience, but something to keep in mind if you’re trying these gummies for the first time. The product description, mg content per piece and per pouch was listed, age restriction, and serving amount were all listed near the bottom of the pouch in clear white block letters. The back of the pouch displayed a lengthy government warning that included the product’s legality, storage information, age restriction, and stern warning not to operate a vehicle while under the influence. There was a large nutrition label next to the warnings that broke down the nutrition information (i.e., calories, sugar, carbs, etc.) and ingredients list. I absolutely loved that there was a recommended serving size and suggested frequency listed, as most Delta-8 THC products leave that up to the user to discover. Lastly, there was a QR code that you can scan to read about the product’s CoA results for all of Dimo Hemp’s products. The product packaging was professionally designed and displayed beautiful creativity that I instantly fell in love with. Since the pouches are the largest type of packaging, it does make sense that Dimo Hemp would cram as much information on them as possible. One thing I will caution any user with gummies is that if you leave them in a warm/hot area such as a car or in the sun, there’s a very good chance the gummies will melt into one sticky lump. Now that we’ve checked out the gummies’ packaging, let’s check out the packaging for the other three products now!
Product Packaging – Disposables and Cartridges
I lump these two products together because there were several similarities in their packaging. Both came in slim orange paper boxes that had alternating white and orange text. The Dimo Hemp logo was boldly displayed on the front, along with the type of device inside (cartridge and disposable vape). The cartridges had the flavor type prominently displayed over two panels of the box in cartoonish designs, with the government warning, package contents, and ingredients listed on one panel. Each cartridge contains 1mL of hemp derived terpenes and clearly states that the contents are legal under the 2018 Farm Bill’s 0.3% THC content requirements. The disposables have a true-to-size picture of the disposables on the front of the packaging, and the flavor is colorfully displayed on the rear in bold lettering. The package contents, ingredients list, and FDA disclaimer is listed on one slim side of the packaging, while the government warning, storage suggestion, legality, and driving admonishments are listed on the opposite side. I appreciated the imagination and professional design that went into the packaging, and it shows that Dimo Hemp goes above and beyond for something as simple as packaging. The only thing that was lacking, as I mentioned before in the Lab Results section, is that there is no scannable QR code on either of these products. There certainly was room for it, and while I don’t understand why Dimo Hemp chose to leave this off, I deeply admired the art that went into the packaging. The cartridges and disposables were beautifully packaged and it’s obvious that a lot of creativity went into it. Now let’s check out the packaging for Dimo Hemp’s most popular product: the pre-rolls!
Product Packaging – Delta-8 THC PreRolls
I’ve come across quite a bit of packaging for pre-rolls and they all seem to come in a cigarette-style carton that is flimsy and easily squashed. Dimo Hemp had the foresight to avoid this, and packaged the pre-rolls in durable glass jars. Yes, you read that right: glass jars! Glass is expensive, which is why many companies revert to cheap plastic or paper packaging, but Dimo Hemp decided that quality matters more than quantity. The glass jars contain seven pre-rolls, which Dimo Hemp fondly refers to as “Rockets” and you can easily view the pre-rolls through the 2” gap where the label ends. The jars are sealed with a vinyl strip so you can confirm the glass jar was sealed until you opened it. The flavor type was listed on the black cap, while the jar itself contained all of the customary warnings, restrictions, and ingredients. The design of the jar was just as beautiful as the gummy pouches, with playful fonts and clear block letters adorning the bright red label. I also appreciated that the type of strain was listed: Mimosa = Sativa, Gelato = hybrid, and OG Kush = Indica. Dimo Hemp really took the time and effort to not only create impressive high quality products with incredible flavor, but to package them attractively with the user in mind.
CONCLUSION
Dimo Hemp literally blasted my expectations of Delta-8 THC out of the water, impressing me at every turn. From quality to flavor to packaging to potency, every single one of Dimo Hemp’s products were fantastic. I was blown away by the professional design of the packaging, as it showed the creativity and professionalism with every product. I was delighted with the authentic flavors, smells, and effects of the gummies, and deeply appreciated the smooth and powerful flavor of the disposables, cartridges, and pre-rolls. The website was impressive with the graphics, ease of navigation, and information stuffed on every page. My expectations were high (no pun intended!) but the results were even higher. If you’re looking for a premium product that is both affordable, professional, and potent, I eagerly implore you to check out all that Dimo Hemp has to offer. I’m confident you won’t be disappointed!
Have you had the opportunity to try any of Dimo Hemp’s products? What are some of your preferred Delta-8 THC products? Be sure to drop a comment and share your experiences with the rest of us! Keep in mind that Delta-8 THC varies with the user according to previous THC exposure, weight, metabolism, age, and many other factors. You’ll need to experiment a bit to find your body’s tolerance and reaction level, but you can always start off with the suggested dosage and work your way from there. Be careful not to take too much in one sitting, as this can cause you to feel overly sleepy and may even cause anxiety or paranoia due to your senses being overstimulated. While the age restriction does vary slightly in some states, you should be at least 21+ years old in order to purchase and consume Delta-8 THC products. Always consult your primary physician if you’re trying Delta-8 THC for the first time, and ensure you’re in a safe environment for when the Delta-8 THC effects kick. You should not operate a motor vehicle or any machinery while under the influence, and keep in mind that continued use of Delta-8 THC may cause you to fail a drug test. With all this in mind, you can enjoy a heady high that still allows you to remain in control. Check back with us soon for another Delta-8 THC review from Work Heavy Duty Gummies, crafted with Delta-8 THC and the new Delta-10 THC. This will be my first experience trying Delta-10 THC, and I’m excited to share it with you. Hope to see you there!
