How to Find the Best CBD Spray

How to Find the Best CBD Spray by Thea Engst at CBD Origin

When it comes to finding the best product in any field, research, trial, and error are necessary. That process, however, can not only be time-consuming but expensive. There’s not much worse than spending your hard-earned money on a product that just isn’t what you need or what it claims to be.

And the world of CBD, or cannabidiol, is a world full of magnitudes of products, both bad and good. Since hemp became legal in 2018, the market has genuinely exploded with hemp-derived products. These products claim to perform different helpful tasks for us, but the question is: do they actually work?

I’m here to talk to you about CBD sprays, what they are, why they matter, and how to find the best CBD spray for what you’re looking for.

Bottom Line Up Front

The best option for CBD spray right now is from Pure Kana. This spray is peppermint flavored with MCT oil to help the product get digested quickly. It also has easy-to-find ingredients and an easily found COA on the website, making it transparent and trustworthy.

Why Use CBD Spray?

Best CBD Spray

Let’s start at the beginning: why are you trying to buy a CBD spray? Well, while CBD and its impacts are still being studied by researchers worldwide, a lot of data supports that CBD acts as an anti-inflammatory. It has also been linked to helping with anxiety and depression and even getting a better night’s rest. CBD is even used in skincare to reduce scarring and wrinkles!

So what we do know is that whether consumed and working from our insides out or applied topically, the data is very positive for the potential medical and aesthetic benefits from CBD!

CBD spray itself is a relatively new product in its delivery method of CBD. You can either spray it right in your mouth or use it topically, which is similar to many CBD products. (Yes, you can use a CBD tincture topically if you want.) This means that a CBD spray can be used almost like mouth spray or, depending on your wants and your current circumstance, like a soothing lotion. Just follow the manufacuteres directions. What I mean to say is that if the product says ‘topical,’ do not put it in your mouth!

There are a couple of reasons why CBD sprays are becoming popular. One is that they are easy to keep on hand and have in your pocket, purse, car – you name it, for easy access. Another good reason to trade your CBD tincture for CBD spray is that the atomizer will disperse the CBD throughout your entire mouth. Think of it; spraying breath freshener in your mouth is meant to encompass your whole mouth. CBD spray is no different. And in doing so, the spray hits most of the surface area of your mouth. It allows for faster absorption than many other methods of consuming CBD. Lastly, CBD spray can easily be used topically, making this product very versatile.

Because the concept of a CBD spray is still new, there are not a ton of CBD sprays on the market (yet), which makes my job a little more concise today. Still, this is an exciting option for CBD consumption. I encourage you to keep tabs on your favorite CBD companies to see if they release their own.

As always, I recommend speaking with your doctor before introducing any CBD into your routine. CBD may interact with other medicines you are on and/or pre-existing medical conditions. Your doctor would know best if CBD is suitable and safe for you.

How CBD Works With Our Bodies

Best CBD Spray

It’s okay to not be sure how and why CBD works with the human body. As the research is all relatively new, so is the knowledge that humans have CBD receptors in our bodies. That’s right, the human body is equipped with the endocannabinoid system or ECS.

In a very over-simplified explanation: the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which was discovered in the early 90s, is a series of receptors throughout the body. Those receptors, referred to as either CB1 or CB2, are primed to bind with any cannabinoids they come into contact with.

Our bodies also produce their own cannabinoids, which are called endocannabinoids. The word ‘endo’ is Latin for ‘within’. Cannabinoids produced by plants and not our bodies, are called phytocannabinoids. ‘Phyto’ is Latin for ‘plant’.

Because we know that our bodies not only have receptors specifically for cannabinoids but also that our bodies work to create their own cannabinoids. We know that consuming phytocannabinoids is a realistic option for feeling better. We know that our bodies produce endocannabinoids when working to achieve homeostasis. This means that if we consume phytocannabinoids, our bodies are receptive to the chemicals. In theory, those phytocannabinoids can also help us achieve homeostasis.

I always like to compare endocannabinoids and phytocannabinoids to taking melatonin. Our bodies produce melatonin, but that doesn’t mean that getting to sleep is always accessible. Whether your brain or body can’t turn off, roughly half the population suffers from chronic insomnia. So if you reach for melatonin pills that are produced and manufactured by humans to help humans sleep, you’re giving your body the help it needs to get a good night’s rest. In doing so, everybody wins, especially your body. So my argument for further research into phytocannabinoids and the potential positive impacts that they may have on your body is my argument for why things like melatonin pills are okay to take. In short, our bodies are already making them sometimes; they just need a little help with making more.

What Makes a Good CBD Spray?

Let’s now move on to CBD products, and what makes them suitable, precisely CBD sprays.

Topical CBD sprays will primarily be intended to help with pain management and reduce inflammation, so most of them will be working to achieve the same results. Remember that while all oral CBD sprays can also be used topically, topical sprays cannot be used orally. Pay attention to the label, and do not consume anything you’re not supposed to.

The CBD sprays on my list must be effective, and their ingredients must be transparent. While research on CBD and CBD products is shown to be very positive and exciting, there are very few CBD products that are FDA approved. This means that there can be a lot of junk products being sold for high prices. In that case, CBD can often come off as ‘snake oil’ because the product won’t work as well or at all if it isn’t of good quality. So we have to be careful of that. To side-track that, I recommend searching CBD websites for the certificate of analysis or COA.

COAs are often included in product sections around the ingredients list. Not only can CBD companies list what’s in their products, but they can show their COA to prove that their product was tested to confirm it is what it says it is. Often, companies will utilize a third-party lab to prove no bias. Sometimes they will do the testing themselves. I don’t think that a self-test is a red flag personally, but I do believe that no COA is a red flag.

I’m also giving bonus points for natural and organic ingredients that work alongside the CBD in the spray to reduce inflammation and pain. Okay, let’s get shopping!

The Best CBD Sprays

Best CBD Sprays

Pure Kana makes a peppermint CBD spray that is really great but, unfortunately, out of stock right now. Still, this is a sleek, thin bottle that can fit anywhere a pen can. I love that it has a peppermint flavor, giving you fresh breath with your dose of CBD. I love that it also contains Liposomal Vitamin D complex.

So this is an effective product, supported by the numerous five-star reviews on the website. It also has the added bonus of being tasty and giving your breath a refresher. And of course, I love that this website has a COA at the bottom of the product page here. This is a company that’s not trying to hide anything from its consumers.

I want to add quickly here that Pure Kana’s CBD spray has something called medium-chain triglycerides or MCT oil as an ingredient. MCT oil is simply more accessible for our bodies to digest than long-chain triglycerides. Having this present in the CBD spray makes it easier for your body to absorb and break down the CBD in this product.

Pros and Cons of the Pure Kana Peppermint CBD Spray

  • Peppermint flavor enhances breath with every CBD dose.
  • Has an easy-to-find COA on the website.
  • Includes non-hemp products which are suitable for you too.
  • The price isn’t bad. For a bottle of 13.5 mL, this is on sale for $25 right now, which could be why it’s out of stock. Usually, it’s $39.99.
  • The website has a subscribe and save option to save money and give you the convenience of not reordering items.

  • Currently out of stock.
  • Needs to be used up to three times a day with three to four sprays per use. That affordable bottle will go fast.

Pure Kana Peppermint CBD Spray

Reliva CBD has a CBD spray which makes a lot of lists for being a high-quality, worthwhile CBD spray. Their spray is mint flavored, which you know I love, and like the Pure Kana spray, this also contains MCT oil to help with absorption.

The bottle is as sleek as the Pure Kana, making traveling with the spray very easy and discreet. The Reliva CBD spray is only in a 5mL bottle, making it roughly a third the size of the Pure Kana. This is reflected in the price, which is only $14.99. Also, like Pure Kana, Reliva offers a subscribe and save option.

One thing I didn’t like was that I couldn’t find a COA on this website. It might be somewhere I missed, but it wasn’t easy to find. Even if it is on the website somewhere, it should be easy to track down, like Pure Kana’s was.

Pros and Cons of the Reliva CBD Spray

  • Great price, only $14.99 a bottle.
  • Is mint-flavored to help your breath smell good and prevent any weird hemp taste in your mouth.
  • Highly rated and reviewed.

  • The bottle is tiny and won’t get you very far.
  • I could not find a COA on this website.

Reliva CBD Spray

CBD For Life has a purely topical spray that is definitely worth trying. This isn’t something you need to rub in; you just spray and go. I like that using CBD spray topically means you can really target any areas causing you pain, and that’s what CBD for Life is going for with this product.

The reason why having an anti-inflammatory on hand is so appealing is because a lot of pain is caused by inflammation. After an arduous workout, old or new sports injuries, arthritis, and even muscle soreness can be made more comfortable with an anti-inflammatory. In this case, the CBD For Life bottle is a little large for transport and might be something you have to leave in your car or bag. Unlike the Pure Kana and Reliva products, this is much larger.

This product contains other ingredients like eucalyptus that help calm and reduce inflammation naturally. I also like that it’s GMO-free and 95% natural. However, while all of this is great and the reviews are equally positive, I cannot find a COA on this website.

Pros and Cons of the CBD For Life Topical CBD Spray

  • This is highly reviewed and well-received.
  • Since it’s meant to be used topically, you can apply and go; no need to rub in or all for it to dry.
  • The price is excellent; for 120mL, this is only $26.99.

  • There is no COA on this website that I can find.
  • Large for transport.

FAQs on Finding the Best CBD Spray

Question: Why is it Hard to find CBD Spray?

Answer: CBD spray is a pretty new product to the market. Many companies just haven’t started making them (yet), but I would definitely keep an eye on your favorite companies to see if they start producing CBD spray soon!

Question: Do you Recommend CBD Spray for Someone who has Been Happy with the Results of CBD Tinctures?

Answer: I think that if you have something that works for you, it’s silly to try something new just to try it. That being said, if you don’t like the application of the tincture, I would recommend trying the spray. It’s very sleek and easy to store, use, and transport, without it being awkward for you.

Question: Why are CBD Sprays Less Expensive than Many Other CBD Products?

Answer: Check the amount of each bottle before purchasing. Many of these products aren’t less expensive; they’re just fewer products.

Final Thoughts on How to Find the Best CBD Spray

As we move towards the inspiring future of CBD, I expect the market of CBD spray to explode as it did with tinctures and edibles. If you have a company, you already trust that doesn’t have a CBD spray yet, just keep an eye out. They will likely expand their products to sprays if the market demands it.

Until then, I hope this list of CBD sprays and my explanation of the ECS have helped you better understand cannabinoids, our bodies, and how to find the right CBD spray for yourself.
