Should You Buy CBD Oil on Amazon?

How to Find the Best CBD Oil on Amazon: Hint, You Can’t by Alizabeth Swain at CBD Origin

You buy your dog food, cleaning supplies, and electronics from Amazon.

Why not buy your CBD oil from Amazon too? Plus, if you have Amazon Prime, there’s literally nothing that’ll stand in your way. Except, there is.

When you’re looking around online for CBD oil, you may not be tempted to buy CBD oil on Amazon. But over the recent years, CBD oils have flooded the marketplace on Amazon.

Even though there are some strict regulations on Amazon, some CBD oils get through that are of poor quality. So, how do you find the best CBD oil on Amazon?

I will let you in on a bit of secret: legitimate CBD oil can’t be sold on Amazon.

Bottom Line Up Front: You can’t buy CBD oil on Amazon. Instead, I would highly recommend you check out JustCBD if you’re looking for CBD oils. They’re a brand I love!

My Top Picks

  • NuLeaf Naturals
  • JustCBD
  • CBDistillery

Are CBD Oils Allowed on Amazon?

CBD oil on amazon

The first problem: Amazon doesn’t allow the sale of CBD oil. You can find information about Amazon’s ban on CBD oil in their seller policies. Under the “Drugs & Drug Paraphernalia” section, Amazon specifically states that you cannot “listing products containing cannabidiol are prohibited.” So, any products containing CBD, Full Spectrum CBD, Full spectrum hemp, or any hemp products can’t be sold on Amazon.

So, then how come you can find “CBD oils” in the search results on Amazon?

What About the CBD Oil Found On Amazon?

Eager to get to the bottom of this, I Googled “CBD Oil Amazon” and was shocked to find several search results for Amazon categories with titles like “Pure CBD Oils,” “CBD Oil,” and “Organic CBD Oil.”

Maybe CBD was actually being sold on Amazon…

It was hard to believe, but nothing was impossible considering the leaps and bounds the industry had taken over the last two years.

A little more open-minded, I clicked the “Pure CBD Oils” listing and was even pleasantly surprised when I landed on an actual Amazon page with the corresponding title, “Pure CBD Oils.”

I was about to cast away my doubts and become a believer. Still, as I began browsing through the first few listings, I immediately realized that buying CBD on Amazon was too good to be true…

What to Be Aware Of When Looking on Amazon

christin hume Hcfwew

When you’re looking around on Amazon, you may be convinced that the products coming up in your search results are actual CBD products. However, don’t be fooled – they aren’t.

Unclear Descriptions

As you’re scrolling through, pay close attention to what the descriptions say. You may find that the CBD oils listings describe amounts like “1700 mg”. But, be aware that things don’t say “1700 mg of CBD”. That’s because the oils being sold on Amazon don’t have CBD in them but instead are made with hemp oil.

Unrealistic Milligrams

Another thing to be aware of when you’re looking around on Amazon is watching out for unrealistic milligrams. You should look at the labels of products of the CBD products you’re considering buying. Some products’ll say they contain “30,000 mgs” inside. However, that isn’t a realistic amount.

Labels

You should also pay attention to the ingredients on the label of the CBD products. When you’re reading through the labels, you’ll find that there isn’t any CBD inside of the products.

Pricing

When you’re looking around at all of the CBD oils on Amazon, you’ll find that most of them are affordable. However, high-quality CBD oils are very, very expensive. Many of the products that claim to be “super potent” on Amazon aren’t actually potent and don’t meet even the basic requirements that come from CBD oils that you’d find off of Amazon.

Best Places to Find CBD Oil

Now that you have a better idea of why Amazon shouldn’t be your go-to place to find CBD oil, it’s time for you to find some places that sell CBD oil that I would highly recommend! I chose these places based on positive personal experiences that I’ve had with them, along with transparent lab reviews and other customers leaving positive reviews.

NuLeaf Naturals

NuLeaf Naturals

NuLeaf Naturals is a great place to look for if you’re looking to try all that the world has to offer with CBD and THC oils. NuLeaf Naturals offers full spectrum CBD oils on the website, too. But, what I love most about this company is that they don’t have many options to choose from. And because of the lack of products they have, there isn’t a lot to get confused about. In addition, they offer several strengths to choose from, so they really offer something for everyone.

Pros

  • Contains high levels of CBD
  • Offers CBD products that cater towards animals

Cons

  • Their products don’t have any flavor
  • I find that some of the products from NuLeaf Naturals taste a bit like dirt

JustCBD

CBD-Oil on Amazon

JustCBD is my personal go-to for any and all of my CBD needs. If you aren’t a huge fan of CBD oil, you could try taking their CBD gummies. I love using their gummies because it’s so much more convenient to use than CBD oils.

But that’s not all that there is to love about this company. You can also find the lab reports for all of the products they offer on their website. They aren’t trying to hide anything. In addition, you can purchase cannabis oil on their website too!

Pros

  • A whole bunch of different CBD products to choose from
  • Easy to find third-party test results
  • Flavored products

Cons

  • Not all of the test results they have on their website have a batch number

CBDistillery

CBDistillery

Looking to try both hemp and CBD products? CBDistillery has your back. They offer isolated CBD products and full spectrum CBD. Plus, they offer all of these products in vapes, suppositories, wax, tinctures.

All of the plants they use to make their products are non-GMO, pesticide-free, and are grown in the USA. You don’t have to worry about any of the products they offer having THC, which means you can purchase these products online no matter what state you live in.

Pros

  • Super transparent brand
  • Has a lot of resources to teach people about CBD
  • Variety of different products

Cons

  • The serving size information on the bottles leaves a lot of guesswork
