What’s the Best CBD Vape Juice?

Best CBD Vape Juice by Stephanie Jensen at CBD Origin

In our recent article, we discussed how vaping CBD oil is one of the most effective methods of delivering the maximum bioavailability of CBD. After reading that article, many of our readers were wondering:

“Okay, so now that I know how to vape CBD oil, which is the best CBD vape juice to use?”

With so many different brands, the decision isn’t exactly easy. Plus, there are so many factors to consider, such as:

  • Quality
  • Price
  • Hemp Source
  • and more…

Don’t worry though, we got you covered! In this article, we will not only discuss what’s the best CBD vape juice; we will also inform you of other things to look for in a high-quality vape juice. Let’s get to it!

TL;DR? CBD vape juice is a product that you inhale rather than ingest. This is an excellent option if you enjoy vaping and try CBD. However, you’ll want to look for factors in the vape juice, such as clarity, lab testing, and company reputation. Keep in mind, we don’t fully know the safety of vaping CBD.

Out of all of the CBD vape juices, I recommend CBDfx the most. Their OG Kush vape juice is broad-spectrum, flavored with natural hemp terpenes. It has 50/50 PG/VG levels, making it ideal for a wide range of users.

What Is CBD Vape Juice?

CBD vape juice (also called CBD e-liquid) is a specialized product that produces vapor when ignited and inhaled. This is different than other vape juices you will find on the market; other vape juices don’t contain CBD, rather nicotine. Most CBD vape juices don’t contain nicotine.

Manufacturers mix the hemp extracts with certain additives such as propylene glycol and/or vegetable glycerin to vaporize. The manufacturers may include additional flavors if you’re using flavored CBD vape juice.

Keep in mind, CBD vape juice is different from CBD oils and tinctures. CBD vape juice isn’t designed for digestive consumption, and CBD oils/tinctures aren’t intended for inhalation. Be sure you’re using CBD vape juice that’s designed for inhalation and to be used with a vaporizer.

What Does the Science Say?

What Does the Science Say

First, little is known about the effects of inhaling CBD.

The particles and flavorants found in vape juice may be linked to severe side effects. This is why many doctors and other professionals are concerned about the act of inhaling CBD. If you’re worried about these side effects, you should use a tincture or take an edible.

While vaping CBD comes with some effects, there may be a reason why you want to vape. For example, you get relief quickly, especially if you’re struggling with issues such as nausea. In addition, vaping is gentler on your lungs compared to smoking flower.

You may have heard that CBD has many benefits.

Little is also known about the way that CBD improves our body, but it does seem to have some potential.

For example, CBD has been shown to improve the symptoms of certain sleep disorders. CBD also seems to be a possible treatment for neurogenerative disorders

Cannabis products containing CBD also seem to improve the pain and muscle spasticity experienced by those with multiple sclerosis. Still, these patients get the best experience when using equal parts of CBD and THC.

Should Beginners Vape CBD?

If this is your first time using CBD, you may be wondering if you should vape CBD or ingest it. I personally used a tincture and still use a tincture to this day. If you’re used to vaping, I say vaping CBD is a good start.

You can vape CBD if you have never used CBD products or vaped before. However, you will need some equipment. Unless you decide to use a disposable vape pen, you’ll need a vaporizer. You can get them online or from local smoke shops.

To use a CBD vape, fill the device with CBD liquid (based on dosage, which we will discuss later). Read the brand’s manual to find out how to fill the pen.

Turn on the pen and take one puff. Hold it in for a few seconds, and breathe it out. Wait a few minutes, then take another puff if necessary.

Will Vaping CBD Get Me High?

Will Vaping CBD Get Me High

No. That’s because CBD is not a psychoactive cannabinoid. Full spectrum CBD vape juice will contain THC but very small amounts (0.3% is the legal limit). This isn’t enough to get you high.

Keep in mind, vaping high-THC cannabis strains WILL get you high. Ensure you’re using CBD vape juice. Check the certificate of analysis (COA) to ensure there’s no or very little THC in the product.

However, it is normal to experience a calming sensation when using CBD. This isn’t the same as a marijuana high. In addition, others report reduced stress, elevated mood, reduced pain, and improved sleep.

Side Effects

Aside from the side effects of vaping (which we discussed already), CBD does come with minor side effects. Tiredness and dry mouth are the most common CBD side effects that users notice.

However, you only experience these side effects when using CBD in large doses. To decrease your chances of experiencing these side effects, start with small doses and/or use a low-strength CBD vape juice.

The good thing about vaping CBD is it doesn’t come with the digestive side effects that tinctures and edibles may cause, such as diarrhea.

How to Dose CBD Vape

Dosing CBD vape oil can be tricky. Fortunately, most manufacturers provide dosing instructions. What if the CBD vape juice you’re using doesn’t have that information? The two most important factors to consider include weight and potency.

If you’re a new user who just wants general wellness and you’re small in weight (less than 200 pounds), then you’ll need less CBD compared to someone who’s larger and needs a potent product.

At the very least, vape 12mg at a time. If you need serious healing, you can safely vape up to 45mg.

You should also pay attention to the bottle of CBD you’re using. Start with 500mg if you’re a beginner and only need mild healing. Take 1,000mg+ if you need a more potent product.

How to Choose the Best CBD Vape Juice

Best CBD Vape Juice

Look, there are several factors that you should consider when looking at different CBD vape juice. Are there any CBD vape juice reviews for the product? Was the CBD e-liquid sourced responsibility? Does the vendor show lab results for their products?

Lab Results

Ever since Dr. Gupta of CNN publicly endorsed CBD, flocks of CBD companies have sprouted up everywhere promising quality CBD. While there are many businesses with good intentions, unfortunately, many others only see CBD as an opportunity to fill their pockets.

With that being said, as with anything, consumers need to make sure they are performing proper research before purchasing a CBD product (which is what you’re doing now, so high five!).

One of the most important things to look for when researching a company is if they provide certified lab results for their products and that these lab results approve the quality of the product.

If the company does not have available lab results for their products, this is a huge red flag.

If you’re still interested in their product, email their support team and request copies of their lab results. If they do not respond, this is another red flag, and we highly recommend that you do not engage in business with this company.

Is the CBD E-Liquid Cloudy or Clear?

Another factor that you want to consider is if the CBD e-liquid you are considering purchasing appears cloudy or clear.

Clear E-Liquid typically means the product was correctly manufactured. In contrast, murky e-liquid implies that the product is low quality and can either be impure or not appropriately mixed.

Company

Lastly, and again, very importantly, you want to ensure that the company you are considering purchasing a product from has a good reputation.

Look for reviews on the product you are considering purchasing, as well as on the company overall. If the reviews are great, excellent; however, if they are not, use your judgment in assessing their negative reviews.

Negative reviews are typically a tell-tale sign of a company that does not value you as a customer.

Obviously, companies can hide their negative reviews. Still, with today’s connected society, it is becoming more and more difficult to hide your true colors. With that being said, trust the reviews of the company’s past customers before you make your decision!

Our Top CBD Vape Juice Picks

These suggestions, obviously, will not make you a certified CBD expert; however, they will help you filter out the bad companies from the good ones.

Some products may pass all these tests but may still not be the best fit for you. Self-testing is sometimes required for these types of things.

These products come highly recommended by our team, so if you’re having difficulty deciding on which CBD vape juice to try, give these a try:

CBDfx OG Kush CBD Vape Pen 250mg

CBDfx OG Kush CBD Vape Pen 250mg

This CBD vape pen contains the broad-spectrum hemp strain, OG Kush. Broad-spectrum means it doesn’t contain THC but contains the other healing compounds and terpenes in the hemp plant.

The terpenes naturally flavor this vape; expect to taste pine, lemon, lime, and some spice. Combining herbal, earthy, and citrus makes this one of the most unique-tasting hemp strains ever.

In addition to the natural terpenes and hemp extracts, this vape juice contains 50/50 PG/VG levels.

At 250mg, this vape pen is an ideal strength for beginners.

Pros

  • High-quality
  • Tastes great
  • Portable vape pens

Cons

  • CBDfx changed the shape of the pen, and some customers have complained about it

VaporFi CBD Custom Blend

VaporFi CBD Custom Blend

I love the idea of making your own CBD vape juice! You do this by choosing the flavors. You can mix and match different flavors in fruit, menthol, beverage, and dessert categories. You can choose up to three different flavors.

From here, you choose the bottle size, blend (PG and/or VG), the CBD strength, and the CBD type (isolate, broad, or full spectrum).

Pros

  • Awesome how you can create your own vape juice
  • High-quality

Cons

  • Some users complained that the vape juice was cloudy, which probably occurred when the flavors weren’t adequately mixed

Avida CBD Flavorless – CBD Vape Additive

Avida CBD Flavorless – CBD Vape Additive

Even though Avida offers a whole range of delicious vape juice flavors, I like the idea of a CBD additive. It’s flavorless, so if Avida doesn’t have your favorite flavor, then you can just mix the additive into any CBD juice.

The other significant aspect of this vape juice is choosing your strength. Avida offers anywhere between 250mg and 1,500mg of CBD isolates.

Avida makes high-quality CBD vape juices, so no matter which product you choose, you’ll get a vape juice you’ll love.

Pros

  • Flavorless and can be added to any vape juice
  • CBD isolate contains no THC
  • Affordable
  • Avida CBD is a great company

Cons

  • Customers complained it was harsh on the throat

Savage CBD Vape Juice in Driven

Savage CBD Vape Juice in Driven

What I like about Savage CBD is they make their own vape juice flavors. While they offer several, I chose Driven because it’s a combination of sour razzmatazz and candied blueberry – a very unique flavor combination.

Pros

  • Multiple potencies
  • Variety of unique flavors
  • Third-party testing
  • Use high-quality hemp

Cons

  • There isn’t a higher option than 1,000mg

CBD Essence CBD Vape Juice – 820mg

CBD Essence CBD Vape Juice – 820mgCBD Essense offers a full spectrum vape juice with 820mg of CBD. Keep in mind, they do offer a lower potency option for those new to CBD at 420mg (get the joke?).

While CBD Essence doesn’t offer all of the fun flavors that the other brands here provide, I did choose this one for different reasons.

CBD Essence has been around since 2014, meaning they’re one of the most experienced CBD brands. They also offer a range of products, aside from vape juice.

Pros

  • Full spectrum CBD rich in cannabinoids and terpenes
  • Third-party testing
  • Made from high-quality American hemp

Cons

  • 820mg is the highest potency

FAQs

Will CBD Show up on a Drug Test?

Full spectrum CBD contains small traces of THC. While it’s not enough to get you high, it can show up on a drug test. If this concerns you, be sure to only vape CBD isolates or broad-spectrum products.

Will CBD Increase My Appetite?

Studies do show that CBD increases appetite. But coming from an avid CBD user myself, I don’t think CBD increases appetite as much as THC does.

If you don’t want to gain weight or are fasting, I suggest using CBD topicals if you’re experiencing pain. Otherwise, if you’re concerned about appetite, don’t take CBD or take tiny doses.

Can I Get Addicted to CBD?

CBD isn’t addictive. However, you can be dependent on CBD, even though it’s not psychoactive.

Bottomline

Vaping CBD is one of the many popular ways to consume this cannabinoid. In order to vape CBD, you’ll need CBD vape juice. We hope our guide helped you find the best vape juice and offered some great product recommendations!
