A new coffee shop recently opened it’s doors in Leicester city, but this one serves much more than your usual flat white or double espresso.

MedEx CBD is an upmarket, quirky CBD infused coffee shop selling fresh CBD infused coffee and hot beverages. If that’s not enough to fulfil your CBD needs, they also sell a range of CBD snacks and an array of CBD skincare products.

The First CBD infused Coffee Shop To Open In Leicester

The CBD Coffee UK industry has skyrocketed in recent months. CBD oil supplement sales have overtaken both Vitamin C sales and Vitamin D sales combined in the UK this year.

MedEx CBD Cafe, based in Welford Road, will look to take advantage of this growing industry by offering consumers an opportunity to try a vast array of CBD products in a safe environment.

The endocannabinoid system is made of a network of receptors that are primarily found in the brain and the immune system. Some new research has shown that the ECS receptors may also be found in both the skin and the reproductive system.

CBD infused coffee is designed to be stimulate you through your day and to also help you relax. CBD has been shown to have some medical properties that may help with anxiety, depression and stress. Coffee infused with CBD is not just adding a few drops of CBD to your coffee, that would ruin the taste of the coffee and ruin the affects of the CBD. Instead, the CBD is heated along with the coffee beans to allow the cannabidiol natural oils to be infused properly into the coffee bean.

How Was MedEx CBD Cafe Founded?

MedEx CBD Cafe is co-owned by Leicester couple Lamees Zamakda and Kieron Roberts. They shop was launched after the couple experienced positive benefits of using CBD, and wanted to share it with others.

In an interview with Leicestershire Live co-owner Lamees says: “I used to take CBD oil for my anxiety. It made such a difference that I was able to reduce my medication and eventually just take this natural alternative.”

Kieron began using CBD cream as a method of pain relief after fracturing his neck and breaking his collar bone in an accident.

What’s Next For MedEx CBD Cafe?

Since completing the complete shop refurbishment himself, Kieron plans to add a retro gaming room as well as a rooftop terrace to the business in the near future.
