Hot dog lovers unite.

No more of this middle school “eeww” act. Summer equals at least a few good hot dogs with a lot of good friends and there’s no getting around it. Who’s with me?

One of the things we’ve loved doing this summer (ok, maybe more than once) was hosting a good ole hot dog bar. We gave everyone a hot dog and let them loose at a buffet table loaded with fresh toppings and serving suggestions.

Tijuana Dogs

  • cubed avocado
  • chopped fresh tomatoes
  • chopped red onions
  • fresh cilantro
  • seasoned black beans
  • sour cream
  • cotija cheese

California Dogs

  • fresh sprouts
  • shredded carrots
  • fresh cilantro
  • chopped red onions
  • cubed avocado
  • chopped fresh tomatoes

Greek Dog

  • feta cheese
  • banana peppers
  • chopped cucumbers
  • hummus
  • chopped red onions
  • chopped fresh tomatoes

Annnd I happened to be stuffing my face with a California-Tijuana hybrid hot dog at both hot dog bars that we hosted, so I don’t have a picture of the table.
